Free for accountants. From CHF 29 a month for clients, excl. VAT.
- VAT: effective and net tax rate methods
- QR-bill and camt.053

Works with the tools Swiss SMEs already use
Receipts
Three ways to send a receipt. No shoebox required.
Receipts arrive as soon as they’re issued, already filed under the right year and month.

One workspace for all your clients
As soon as they log in, accountants see what’s on today: new receipts from every client, open tasks and upcoming deadlines. Each figure takes you straight to the work behind it in one click.
- 1All your clients at a glanceHow many clients you look after, how many receipts are waiting to be checked and where clients still owe you something.
- 2Oldest receipts firstThe ‘To review’ list shows every receipt with its supplier and status. One click opens the receipt and its draft entry.
- 3DeadlinesVAT returns and dated tasks, with whatever is due soonest at the top.
Buchsnap app
The app your clients will actually use
app.buchsnap.ch runs in the browser on iPhone and Android. Once installed, it sits on your home screen like any other app. No app store, no updates.

Collaboration
Four steps, and everyone knows what to do.
- 1
Capture a receipt
Your client uploads the receipt in one of three ways and can see straight away that it has arrived.
- 2
Check the draft
Buchsnap reads the date, amount, VAT and supplier and creates a draft entry. Nothing is posted until you approve it.
- 3
Post and reconcile
Import camt.053/054 bank statements and reconcile them. If anything is missing, the client gets a task with a deadline.
- 4
Close the books
The VAT return, balance sheet, income statement and annual financial statements all come from the same data. At the end, everything is packed into one ZIP archive per year.
For accounting firms
All your clients in one portal. Free for your firm.
You work in a journal you can run entirely from the keyboard, as in Banana, with the Swiss SME chart of accounts (Kontenrahmen KMU) and VAT under the effective method or the net tax rate method (Saldosteuersatz). Your clients see your logo and colours in the portal, not ours.
- New receipts from every client at a glance
- The journal remembers the accounts and VAT code for each entry description
- Queries sent as tasks, with a deadline and a push notification
- A listing in our ‘Find an accountant’ directory

For SMEs and sole proprietors
You snap the receipt. Your accountant does the rest.
You capture receipts and send invoices with a QR code. Your accountant takes care of the bookkeeping, VAT and year-end closing. Your dashboard shows where you stand at any time, so you never have to ask.
- Receipts captured in ten seconds, even on the move
- QR-bills, payment reminders and recurring invoices (PLUS and above)
- TWINT, SumUp and Stripe settlements posted cleanly

QR-bill
Invoices your customers can pay straight away
This is what an invoice from Buchsnap looks like: your company logo and colours, every line item with VAT, then the total and the payment terms. The second page carries the payment part with the Swiss QR Code. Your customer scans it with their banking app, and the amount, account and reference are already filled in.
As soon as the payment shows up on your bank statement, the invoice is marked as paid automatically.
- QR-IBAN with structured reference, or a standard IBAN
- VAT rates of 8.1%, 2.6% and 3.8% per line item
- PDF to download and forward
- Staged payment reminders, credit notes, recurring invoices
