What the app can do

app.buchsnap.ch runs in the browser on iPhone and Android, and once installed it sits on your home screen like any other app. No App Store, no updates.

Add it to your home screen in Safari

    Open app.buchsnap.ch

    Use Safari, not another browser.

    Tap Share

    The square with the upward arrow, at the bottom in the middle.

    "Add to Home Screen"

    Scroll down a little, then tap "Add".

    Log in

    Open Buchsnap and log in with your email address. Allow push notifications.

Android

Install it in Chrome

    Open app.buchsnap.ch

    Use Chrome or another browser.

    "Install app"

    Chrome usually shows the prompt itself. If not, choose "Install app" from the ⋮ menu.

    Confirm

    The Buchsnap icon then appears in your app drawer and on your home screen.

    Log in

    Log in with your email address and allow notifications.

Questions about the app

Why isn't Buchsnap in the App Store?

Buchsnap is a web app. It works the same way on every device, needs no updates from a store and is always up to date.

Do push notifications work on iPhone too?

Yes, from iOS 16.4 onwards, once the app is on your home screen and you have allowed notifications.

Does the app take up much storage?

No. It takes up only a few megabytes, and your receipts are stored on the server.

Can I use the app without an accountant?

To log in, you need an account, which your accountant sets up for your company.

Are my photos safe?

Receipts are encrypted in transit and visible only to your company and your accounting firm.
